Die Sulmtaler sind eine alte österreichische Hühnerrasse mit Ursprung im steirischen Sulmtal. Einst weit verbreitet, zählt die Rasse heute zu den gefährdeten Nutztierrassen und wird von engagierten Züchtern und Landwirten erhalten. Mit ihrer ruhigen Art, ihrer Robustheit und ihrem charakteristischen gold-weizenfarbigen Gefieder sind Sulmtaler Hühner etwas ganz Besonderes.
Auf unserem Bauernhof leisten wir einen Beitrag zum Erhalt dieser wertvollen Kulturrasse. Unsere Sulmtaler leben in artgerechter Haltung und können ihr natürliches Verhalten ausleben.
Mit ihrer langen Tradition und ihrer besonderen Geschichte sind die Sulmtaler nicht nur ein wichtiger Teil der bäuerlichen Kultur, sondern auch ein lebendiges Beispiel für nachhaltige Landwirtschaft und den Schutz der Artenvielfalt.

We enjoyed two fantastic weeks at Wiartshof. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen. The area is perfect for hiking, and with the guest card, you often don’t need to use your car. The bus stop is conveniently right outside. Many thanks for such a wonderful stay!
A very spacious apartment, with well-sized rooms and a lovely outdoor area. Everything is new and well-kept. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all appliances. Great value, and the staff is courteous and attentive. Only downside: there is no bidet.
